Privateer 2 under Win98

Hi all...

Just thought I'd post a little note on how I got Privateer 2 to work under Win98 SE.

I just made a shortcut to dark.exe, and set the following properties to it:

Under the Program-tab, click advanced and check disable MS-DOS programs to sense Windows.

Under the Memory-tab check Protected under Conventional memory, and Use HMA under XMS.

(I'm running swedish Windows, so I'm just guessting the translations here.)

You know you could have just gotten the P2 patch from https://www.wcnews.com/files.shtml. This would have let you play P2 in Win9x.

Sorry, but that is not true. The P2 DOS patch solves some bugs in the DOS version. It does _NOT_ upgrade to a Windows version.
