Privateer 2 in Windows XP

I am sure Windows XP is just too far gone from DOS to ever play this old classic, but just in case, does anyone know how to get it to run in this operating system?

I even have the windows version of Privateer 2 and it don't work, hey, if someone knows how to get it to work share your insight :)
 
I am finely getting XP so I see if I can tweak it this weekend.

On Win2000 I could not get P2 DOS to install. P2 Win95 did install and played but I lost sound once.
