Privateer 2 Crash DOS & Win95 versions

Hello.

I have problem running Privateer 2 both in DOSBox or with Win95 patch.
Win95 version -> Works fine until first start from Hermes. The game crash with application error (don't know what kind of error because of blank screen) right after loading ship modules screen disappear. I hear engine noise but only thing I can do is to kill dark.exe process.
DOS verison (with DOSBox) -> Game installation goes with no problem. Sound and music tests passed ok. But when I start to launch the game, I have blank screen for few seconds and after this DOSBox shuts down and return to Windows. No errors shown.

In both cases I've tried all what I find in this forum. Sound, and grafics acceleration settings. CD's launched from mounted iso, original CD's, or copied to hard disk. Video transitions on and off. Compatibility mode disable or set to Win95/98/Me in Win95 version. Different DOSBox settings in DOS version.
In every cases different settings doesn't change anything - DOSBox always shuts down before game starts, and Win version always hung when launching from Hermes.

My config:
DOSBox 0.73
Win XP Prof
AthlonXP 2500+
2 GB RAM
Radeon9550

What do I miss?

PS Sorry for bad English.

You've tried all the right things - it's pretty unusual to still have errors have all that. Did you try everything in our Tech Support section? https://www.wcnews.com/techsupport.shtml#p2 Have you installed the patch? Have you tried different soundcard settings, even if yours seem to pass?

I do everything in tech support step by step. I've installed patch (in DOS edition). In fact, I never try to run a game without patch - mayby I should try?
Different sound settings in DOSBox ? I've tried every one soundblaster - didn't work.
I was thinking I should try to install older DOSBox? 0.70 or 0.6x ? Or make fresh install of 0.73 - I use it quite long. I've already played with no problems WC1, WC2, WC3, WC4 and Priv1. All of this games works perfect with DOSBox.

Doesn't P2 DOS work in the plain old command shell of Windows as well? Probably without sound, but it would be worth a try to see if this changes anything.
You might also want to try a different IRQ for the sound card in the DOS-Box config (5 or 7 whichever it isn't right now) if you haven't tried this yet.

So simple thing....

I was changing SoundBlaster type, but I forgot to try different IRQ... :/
After set IRQ to 5 (from 7) Priv2 in DOSBox works perfect as other WC games.
I noticed a little screen blinking in cutscenes from time to time, but it isn't a real problem.

Very much thanks for helping me. :)
