Priv on an old 486

I've got the Priv CD and try to run it in dos and it all goes ok except that when you fire guns / missiles it locks for a couple of seconds.

How do I fix that?

I ran Priv on a 486 dx2 66 for, oh lord...4 years? Anyway, needless to say i've incounted some weird things.
Post ur readout when u type the "mem" command.
What hardware is on the 486 exactly? and r u running from CDrom or harddrive?

Sorry its taken so long to get back to you guys

Umm I have a 3D Melody sound card thats suppost to be SB16 compatible with settings 5 1 5. Also this sond card is failing to detect my joystick port.

And I'm running form harddrive.
 
Add J200 to the SET BLASTER line. Example"
SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 H7 P330 T6 J200.
This will give you a joystick port. If your sound card doesn't use SET BLASTER line then post your autoexec.bat and config.sys.
