No Sound In Prophecy! Help!

I'm an old vet when it comes to Wing Commander Games and I think I've got them all. I recently got a new, way more powerful PC lately though and am currently running the ultimate gaming OS, Win 98SE. However unlike on my older PC, I can't hear a thing. I can view videos and play the game fine. But cannot hear speech//music//background noise at all within the game and movies. Help me out! Does anyone have a solution for this evil problem?

Oh I should really mention the specs of the old and new PC's.

Old PC:

Pentium 133
32 Mb Ram
Sound Card? Uh a very old one which was able to run every WC Game I had ^_^


New PC:
P3 1400
128 Mb Ram
Sound Card: VIA On-Board Sound


Oh and now for some reason - Sounds won't play during the DxDiag Sound Test

Fixed It ^_^

I fixed it... messed around with Acceleration and Volume Control till it worked

PS: Sorry about the 1 minute delay in posts, but I had to fix fast
