New to PGG

Ghost

Emperor
Heya folks, some Qs from a n00b of this game.

I want to replay original Priv, but in my machine it doesn't work; is PGG the same as the original with better graphics?

Max resolution?

Any important bugs, that prevents me to have an excellent Priv experience?

Thanks

That's the intent - that the only real improvement is the graphics.

What is your PC anyway? If you can run GG then I wouldn't give up hope on your original. It's pretty easy to set up in dosbox. (https://www.wcnews.com/techsupport.shtml#p1)

Dosbox is free. (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1) The CIC has detailed instructions on getting every dos WC game to run here: https://www.wcnews.com/techsupport.shtml. And if Chris or myself are on IRC we can usually troubleshoot you through most of the common problems.

I don't want to disuade you from trying gemini gold, but it seems that a lot of people give up on the original without even trying

And, even though you have a remake of privateer remember that dosbox can be used for ANY older game including wc1,wc2, armada, academy :D

Hey Ghost,

if you want to replay Privateer, run it with DosBox as mentioned above.

Privateer Gemini Gold is still in development and misses important functionality. Of course there are a lot of people who like to play it but it definately has the potential to ruin your day. In the end it's only a hobby from a few crazy people who love Privateer - nothing more and nothing less.
