My copy of The Kilrathi Saga has no music...

Let me start by saying I bought the first 3 WC games back when they came out. I got a bit nostalgic and decided to play them again only to discover the horrifying incompatibility that is Dos games to Windows XP. I tried downloading copies of the first two games and messing around with VDMsound and Dos-Box. Days of pointless work because I still couldn't get them to work. So I gave that up and decided to just buy the kilrathi saga. Only problem is, the only place I could find it was on EBay for well over 100 dollars. I simply can't afford that, so I found the game through ~. I realize some of you may find this act immoral and I don't really know if this abides by your ToS. But as I said, I really couldn't afford the game, I couldn't make my old copies work, so downloading a copy of games I'd already bought wasn't all that terrible IMO.

That said, I can't seem to find the music files that came with the 73 meg zip file. I'm sure at least one of you have obtained the Kilrathi Saga via the same means before. zDo you know where the music files are hidden? The only other zip file I see within all of this is called "WCDLL.ZIP" and it contains a bunch of direct x filoes and a bunch of random .dll's. I unzipped it into the main folder but it didn't do anything and I don't know where else to put it.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Don't care what you do, but don't tell people where to get it.

As far as I know, the warez version of KS that's floating around doesn't have any music. Whatever music DLLs or other files that do come with it are probably just there so the program won't crash because it can't locate the music files.

That said, you really don't need KS to play WC1 and WC2 on a modern computer. I'm sure there are people here who can get your original copies to work under XP. Have a look at the older threads, or start a new one and post any useful information about your system and any error messages you are getting.
