mouse problem in Privateer 2 (win95 ver.)

I'm running Privateer 2 Deluxe on a 900 Athon, SBLive!, WinXP system. Finally got it to work after installing VDMSound. (thanks Johnl12) Only problems now is on the PAD screen and in-flight options screen...mouse doesn't work. The mouse is fine though in the bar/station screens and when buying ships, commodities, wingman etc. screens. Any ideas?

Isn't there something you can do with the keyboard in the PAD... Ah, you figured how to get from point A to B, never mind. I think you can look in your Diary in space though, and exit back using the keyboard.

AAAAK! AWAY, FOUL AVATAR FROM HELL! *Recovers somewhat from the shock.* OK, what's been going on here, anyway? I disappear over the weekend, and the place develops a psychedelic paint-job and psychotic avatars...

well, I updated the mouse driver to no avail. Maybe for some odd reason the game doesn't like my USB mouse...I'll post again as soon as I dig one up and give it a whirl.

April Fools' Day. Glad I missed it this year, last year's April Fools' Chat Zone took weeks to go away...

*Assimilates the fact that It has gone away.* Phew! Righty, everything back to normal. Except that my mouse suddenly took a plunge... I guess I shouldn't have touched the BIOS. :) (I'm fairly sure the settings are back to what they were, but... it just stopped. It ran just fine, MouseWare says the batteries are fine, and then it just started to behave erratically, then it shot itself in the head. I've been wrestling with the bugger for days now, and still nothing. I've become fairly proficient in using the keyboard to move around the OS, though.)
I'll just try using the warranty for once, eh?
