Level select in Kilrathi Saga WC1

In the DOS version of Wing Commander, supposedly clicking on a character's feet when using the transfer program would open up a level select menu. However, doing so in the Kilrathi Saga version of WC1 doesn't work, it only transfers that character to Secret Missions 2. Is the any way of enabling level select in Kilrathi Saga? It'd be nice to just pick a mission and blast some ships.

It was also a separate executable in the DOS version. Seems that it was probably entirely removed from the KS version. I would suggest playing the DOS ones if you have both available now.
