Kill the bastards or let them live

Spaceman
so i was playing wc:prophecy and i got the mission where casey is with hawk and you can kill at the cats or let them live. this time i let them live but i was just wondering what everyone else does... cause i just love blasting cats

Well, if you choose to kill them, Hawk ends up getting killed. You return to the Midway and get some suspicious looks from your superiors. As missions progress, remaining Kilrathi eventually point the finger at you for their missing/dead fellows, and you're arrested during the middle of a mission for your treason. You are escorted to the flight bay by a pair of Panthers, and you have to go back several missions to do the right thing.

I always chose not to kill the bastards. I don't love killing cats as much as everyone else does. And Casey's point to Hawk was a good one. That just like the Cult of Sivar, Hawk was just a burnout fighting for something that meant nothing anymore. And it was also a good point that the Kilrathi were flying old fighters. Though I thought when you fought that Kilrathi Corvette in the simulator that it was much harder to kill than the Nephilim Hydra.

Is that so? Whoa. I never knew that...

I don't recall being arrested after blasting some cats. I do recall a cut scene where the CAG gives you a nasty glare because the cats aren't going to help the Confeds, but it's all forgotten or something. Maybe I need to try that path again...

I have the same suspicion GeeBot, I just remembering teh CAG saying something about everything getting harder cause you have no allies.

a couple missions after the cat-killing or not mission, you get sent out on patrol and the cult of sivar is getting attacked by some bugs and oyu have a choice of helping them (which makes them forget about you killing their comrades) or not ( in which case when you get back to the Midway you get arrested

I just figured they were going to arrest you but then there was a scramble and they just needed the pilots too bad.

any chance to piss of the cag, might as well take it... it's still a fun part in the game but i didn't like how hawk just dies later, could of made something of it...

Actually the captain threatens to throw you out the nearest Airlock...then a red alert goes off and he needs everyone in their ships and you have to redeem yourself later on in the mission.

Sheesh, that CAG needed a good shag, eh?

If there's a women involved in the topic, it always turns into a sex query!

Not the time we were talking about the nephilim mother creature.

Speaking of which, in social insect species, the workers are all females--males literally exist only so that the breeding females can have sex partners. Going by that, all of the Nephilim that we have encountered are female.
