Keyboard problems in WC3

Hi all,
I'm wandering if anyone can help me...

I recently reinstalled WC3 on my pc, and this is the first time that it runs under Win98.

Everything's fine and the game runs properly, until we enter a mission.
While flying, I can't drive the ship godd becase the keyboard arrow keys seem not to respond very well... it moves slowly, even if my keyboard worked well when I tested iton other programs.
It just seems that, even if I keep the key pressed, I just give few little pressions to the key.

May it depend on something like keyboard buffer?

I don't like using mouse control very much, but I said "well, if keyboard doesn't work.." but when I use mouse control, the TAB key to activate afterburner does not work...

Could anyone please help me?

Hmm I dont know I never had a problem like that. Expecally when you use the mouse and the tab key thing. If you have another keyboard laying around or one you can take off another comp try that to see if its the keyboard itself and the way the game responts to it or just the game and it would work with diffrent one.
 
Try to hold down the shift key while pressing the error aehm arrow ;) keys...

Holding shift down works very good.

Sure, non 100% comfortable but at least I can chase an enemy without being shot in the....
 
As far as I can tell whenever I played WC3 in 98 I could never use the TAB key to afterburn in mouse control. There is a mouse button combination but the problem meant that after I played WC3 once I never bothered again (I'm pretty poor with anything but a mouse). The main prob with using the mouse control is that you have to afterburn in a straight line as moving the mouse just results in spinning.
