just got WC4 and need some help

Greetings all,

I have been a long time fan of WC. I just got WC4 off of e-bay and I am trying to run it on my current system.

I am running win 2000. I d/l the patch for win 95 but it doesn't seem to help and I can't get any sound to play and it won't detect my video card.

I was just wondering if anyone could help me get this running.

I appreciate any help anyone can give.

Have you tried the usual stuff? Right click on the .exe and shift it to something like Windows 95 compatibility mode.

A common error with that windows patch is that IIRC the shortcut in the start menu still links to wc4.exe. The windows executable however is named wc4w.exe !!!
