Joysticks required for KS???

I bought KS on ebay recently, and wanted to know if the Joystick is required to play. I don't have a port for a joystick on my computer, and have been able to run WCIV and Prophecy with a mouse. Is it the same on KS? The game hasn't gotten here yet so I don't know.

No, you don't need a joystick. You can play it with Mouse and/or Keyboard.

Joystick is hugely recommended however. In the case of KS a USB one should work fine BTW - you do have USB ports, don't you?

No Wing Commander game, and very few space sims in general, requires a joystick. Privateer 2 is the only one that doesn't work with a keyboard.
