Joystick support for Privateer

My Privateer game isn't registering my joystick. I'm using a Force Feedback...I just expected it to register the joystick and the first trigger, but it doesn't register anything. Any suggestions or fixes?

Which sound card are you using? If you are using a Creative Lab sound card add "J200" to the end of the SET BLASTER line. Example:
SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 H5 P330 T6 J200

Does you joystick support DOS? Digital joysticks usually don't support DOS.

Do you have a CH Force FX? If so it should work. Míne does.

All other FF sticks are however USB I think. USB devices don't work in DOS, sorry.
