Joystick Issue WC4

I am trying to run WC4 on windows XP. Everything is working great (video, sound etc) once I installed the win 95 patch that I read about here (thank you) except that it will not detect my joystick (which I know is working in for other games). I have a microsoft sidewinder tm joystick (2 button, 2 axis). Any suggestions.

same problem here.....except

i have the same problem....almost......mine is a "sidewinder Precision 2" when i am in space combat, the lazers fire, the screen rolls when i twist the joystic, but now movement....(running in USB-----could that be the problem?)

i thought i also heard (years ago) that WC wasn't compatible with Digital Joy sticks.....

anyone else having similar problems, or found any solutions>

yeah, I got a similar problem. I got a Thrustmaster Top Gun joystick a few years back and havent really used it much in WC but I found it a few weeks ago(I just moved) and decided to give it a go. well...for some reason whenever I'm onboard the Lex or the Intrepid the cursor heads up and to the left. I downloaded the 95 patch and now it goes down and to the right. During flight my ship goes up so it was pretty much useless. Is there any way I can fix this problem?
