Well this is actually a Freelancer topic but there's no Freelancer forum, except for the Reckoning forum and that's for, well the Reckoning.
Anyway, I finished off the storyline a few weeks back and began exploring all the systems. In two cases I found jump holes listed as unknown even after I went through them they don't list a system name. The first one I found was way up in Kusari space and lead to an all pink system with a bunch of Nomads. The second one was north of Crete, I had to get a good rep with the Corsair to get there. The hole leads to another system guarded by Nomads but it was filled with what appeared to be giant thorn bush branches. I noticed a planet near the jumphole and cruised over to it. The planet was listed as being a Samura base but when I landed I found there was no ship dealer or commodity broker but there was a bar and an equipment dealer, but the equipment dealer didn't seem to be selling anything.
When I went into the bar though I found it was populated with Apes, Chimpanzees to be exact.
Anyway as I'm off to map the system I was wondering if anyone else had run into other animal races such as horse, dogs, or "Cats" ?

There is a second easter-egg planet in the same system. Sides that no, no other strange lifeforms.

What had me laughing however was a police officer telling me how hard he had to work to feed his family and to allow his kids to go to college. Only thing is he was a police-BOT! LOL...

Well so far I've run into two Nomad held systems. Are there more, I prefer to find them on my own so no location hints, I am curious to know how many there are though.
Is there any way to get back to the Dyson Sphere system, or Alaska, after the storyline is finished?

Only those 2 Nomad systems after the storyline.
You cannot get to the Dyson Sphere after the storyline. You cannot get to Alaska after the storyline. You cannot get to Tohoku (I think that was the one) after the storyline. You can with mods of course...

There are however some nice surprises besides that - like the fate of the Hispania...

Well I found the Hispania and I managed to get back into Tohoku after the storyline, but just once and I popped in and left pretty quick shoulda stuck around.
How do I get to tha Hawaii system? I've read a bunch of news casts about it but can't find it. Does it exist, outside the news casts?

Hawaii is not a system. It is the name of a Spa and Cruise luxury liner. I don't remember what system it is in, but you can land on it if your reputation with Spa and Cruise is decent, and it is a sort of "neutral zone" where you can meet some of the criminal factions to bribe them if they won't let you land on their bases.
