I got the following problem.I cant Install Win95/Win98 in my C: parition!
I got a message about a Windows write protection (after I install them).Sorry I dont remember exactly the messages.

At Win95 there is a problem with device IOS I think or something like that.

At Win98 there is a problem with device VDIS or NDIS something like that.

Can someone explain to me what are these??

This isn´t the best place to ask that but...

Did you try formatting your HD before installing Windows?
 
I had the same problem, i disabled the internal cache (in the BIOS), if that is your problem don´t worry, your microchip will blow in 2 or 3 days :(

VDIS or NDIS is network related.
IOS would be keyboard or another IO device.

In any case if you get either error on a clean windows install the chance is very high that something is broken in your PC. If you did not change hardware right before installing something did blow or is about to blow. Most likely a memory of some sort. If you are lucky it is only base memory.
 
Oh..NO its a new PC ...but.....speaking of it.I had an overheat problem!
Sometimes the Tower was bleeping all the time and I was always removing the sides.After the bleeping stoped..

The cooler might be fine. But...
Check if there is any space between the cooler and the chip. If there is the smallest bit of air inbetween the cooler is practically worthless.
Ideally there should be some (not too much or again it doesn't work) thermal paste between the cooler and the chip.

Cff and guys...WinXP are installed correctly and with no probem.But still Win98/95 have problems...
I always have 2 partitions (Win98/95-WinXP) to play every Wc game correctly.

Now I format all the time every partition and trying to install Win98 and still cant.....

Now is there a chance something is broken in my PC ?The XP can be installed normally! :(
