help!! win7 nightmare

Hi,

ive played wc loads on my old winxp computer, just got a new computer trying to install and all i get is not on x64 system will this work.

tried all compatibility modes, still same error?

am i missing a patch, something in compatibility program or what?? just want to install wc3

Dosbox is a great tool for running older Wing Commander games, and it works on 64-bit Windows 7 (I use it on my computer all the time). That should cover all of the Wing Commander games up to Wing Commander IV. Prophecy and Secret Ops are 32 bit programs, so they should be capable of running in Windows 7. While I haven't personally tested Prophecy in 64-bit Windows 7, I have tested Wing Commander Secret Ops and Standoff, and they both work fine.

If you choose to go to the dosbox route, there are many tutorials here on the CIC forums on how to properly set up the program to run.
 
Exactly what game(s) are you having issues with?
Are they the DOS based versions or the Kilrathi Saga ones?
