I am an old gamer. However I and not very good at modifiying my system to playing old games. Thus my problem.

I have a Dell PIII 700 running windows 98.

I cant run my cd rom drive in dos mode (because I dont have a full version)

Please help!

You'll need to know your PC's hardware. What sound card, cd-rom and mouse you have. You'll need their DOS drivers. Go to dell's web site and learn about your PC. Talk to their tech support.

Or do what I did and get a old 486 with just DOS 6.22(including the cd drivers, sound card drivers ect.) on it and run all your old WC games off it. Its a the ultimate fix to that problem :)

Post the contents of your autoexec.bat, config.sys, and dosstart.bat (located in C:\Windows) files and we'll see what we can do.

Just Curios?

Why do u need a CD-Rom to run priv? It just takes up more conventional memory. Just copy the *.tre files from cd to harddrive and edit the *.cfg s. It only takes abot 160 MB and in today's computers with 20+ GB drives thats nothing. Plus u can always delete the files if you need the space.
