Help on getting privateer 1 to run

Hey peeps. Having a bit of a problem trying to get Privateer to run, I doubt it is going to work with XP but before I give up I might as well ask for some help.

I install the game, go into command prompt, type in the command to run the game and recieve the following message:

"Protected mode driver is not responding to EMS function calls.
Make sure your EMS driver is not configured with the NOEMS option. If it is, replace the option "NOEMS" with "RAM"

Sounds like im in a pretty big pickle. Any help if it can be given would be appreciated.:eek:
 
I think you'll need to boot with a Win9x boot disk set with expanded memory. Someone else can help with that. :)
 
Well Buddy there is a "Stuck" thread for Privateer at the Tech Support.I dont know if it will help you but check it out
 
That actually sounds like a simple thing.. just changing a line in your config.sys
