hello ... greetings!

I've just found a WC4DVD (double sided version) from an old Compaq computer.

I've installed them, and tried to play them in my PC. However, My videos aren't showing up, it said :

"missing movie, g:\vob\xxxxx.vob"

but the choices are available (for example, in the 1st video, help him out / straighten him out" are there).

I've tried to replace the *.dll files from the WC4DVD patch, but after i've replaced them, the game just crash with the message :

" entry point not found "
" the procedure entry point ?xxxxxxxxxxxx could not be located in the dynamic link library mpeg2.dll"

can anyone help me?

btw, here's my rig :
- athlon64 3500+
- 1Gb ram
- GA-K8NF-9 mobo (nF4 chipset)
- GF6600GT
- 2 x SATA Hdisks + 1 ide Hdisk
- winXP SP2
- current mobo & VGA drivers.

thanks all for your attention.
regards,

=okky=

hmm.. aditional info ..

I think this is related to the file names.

IMO, the video error messages says that the missing .vob files are in small capital letters.
but I checked the .vob files in my DVD are in big capital letters.

are there any ways to fix this?

What did you install exactly? There are two versions of the patch for running without a DxR card. (1.0 and 1.2)

hello .. i've registered now..

I've tried to copy both versions. and still got the same problem. Can't play the videos.

but, the game is still very... very playable, and for the video errors, I just check what video files that can't play in the game, and play them manually via DVD player software.

thanks.

Thanks, been there. After following his tips and patches, my WC4DVD crashes even worse.

thanks for helping though the problem wasn't solved. I still can play the game, but a bit uncomfortable as I must switch to my dvd player software to watch the cutscenes.

What is the exact message? Did you try to use the alternate mpeg2.dll? Please also check the date and exact size (in bytes) of the wc4dvd.exe. If it differes from the ones stated on my page you'll have to send both the exe and the mpeg2.dll to me to check if it's a different build.
