has anyone else had this problem with P2?

When playing Privateer 2, sometime just before or during the mission to protect the prison ship at NAV 24, has anyone gotten an error from memory module 00000028 (i think that's what it is), that shuts down the game? I've gotten it a couple of times, either just before getting the e-mail from Hassan asking you to come to Hades, or during the subsequent prison ship mission. just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and maybe found a way around it, or at least a cause.

same prob, different mission

ive had the problem, but it was a different mission. it was the bonus part in the mission where you escort a transport of chemical toxins, then escort a Ilia mk 2 somewhere. The bonus is to go and eliminate the Kiowan agents who abandon the Ilia. When i get to the system, it crashes with that error message.

to fix it, i just avoid the bonus part...
 
Bustn on P2 in XP

I've also run into this problem. I'm on WinXP Pro, and I had a H.U.G.E. amount of trouble just getting the installer to work. It finally did (somehow) and now I can play most of the game, but that same error comes up.

I think it's related to the sound drivers/direct sound, and it's triggered in certain areas of the map. Avoiding that sector of space may help, but I think it's a bigger problem.
