Got back into WC, couple setup/config questions
Hey all, I recently dove back into Freespace 2, found Hard Light, found Wing Commander Saga Prologue, and got back into Wing Commander. I only have WC4 and Prophecy, I plan on getting into the books and/or movies at some point, and get a better grasp of the overall story. All that is beside the point though, as far as my questions go. I have two questions, one which I think I can find the answer to if I search hard enough. To the point now (darn I ramble ~~~):
First and foremost, I want to know how, or if I even can, play Wing Commander 4 using a mouse. I have the DVD edition, and can't find the option to, and was wondering if I can modify a config file or something. My joystick broke a while back, and I've been playing FS2 with my mouse, and it's just too dang hard to get used to keyboard again (I used to use it until I figured out I could use my mouse with FS2).
My second question was regarding how to get around the missing video error with WC4. I googled it, and that's how I found this site. I found this thread, but there's so many versions and attatcments, links and mirrors, I can't make heads or tails of it. Could someone point me to just a single download that has the latest necessary file(s)? I'd really appreciate it.
