Good old privateer

Question:

I can get privateer to run, but once I get to the landing pad I can not go anywhere. I can select launch or main concourse, but it brings me to the computer screen where you can save or load your games, check your inventory etc. I can not seem to find a way around this. Any suggestions?

Seriously, I haven't played Priv much, and not very recently, but I think (assuming you're arriving at a landing pad AFTER completing a mission) that it's prompting you to save your game before you go anywhere/do anything else. In that case, it won't let you get around it 'cuz it's prompting you to practice "safe gaming"... Just a thought.
 
But if the game always does that, he can't really leave the planet. It's a strange bug, never heard of it.
 
I've had that problem myself once. It was either a sound/music problem or a memory problem, I'm not sure which (it's been a while).

Try running with sound and music disabled, if that doesn't solve the problem then you probably need more free memory.

Thanks for your replys, I am running without sound until I can get it to work properally, and yes I can not do anything (take off, go to the bar etc).

memory should not be a problem, I am loading everything high, and have small mouse drivers, which is all I load.
