Getting Privateer to Work with Windows 2000

Any ideas on this issue? I've seen a few posts on how to get it to work under Windows ME, but 2k is a little different and I'm reluctant to try some things that could potentially screw up my OS. I'd prefer a solution that worked without a boot disk, but if there's no other way...i guess that would work. Thanks.

EDIT: I tried to open up the config.sys and the autoexec.bat with notepad, but nothing showed up...so i am totally clueless right now.
 
My boot disk should work with your system because it is a stand alond boot disk, booting straight into DOS and not looking at any files on you hard drive until it enters the game directory to start the game. As I have said in my post, the only thing you may have to do is find your sound card file depending on which sound card you have.

I think there is nothing in your autoexec.bat and config.sys because both ME and 2000 do not use these when loading.
