Gargoyles Season 2 in danger

Sonic TH

Spaceman
I wanted to get the word out, not going to plug any site here just wanted to let everyone know that news from the creator of the show has come out that sales of season 2 - part 1 are slipping and the rest of the show is at risk.

If you are a fan of this show as I am you should get off your butt and buy while you still can.

Anyway just a FYI, cheers.

While I can appreciate any fevor a fan has for a well-established show and it's community, I can think of many places better than a Wing Commander site to peddle your worries about a Disney cartoon series.

Never saw a complete episode...but what I saw was not good. :(

The show is actually pretty well written with an interesting continuity involving three races on earth (humans, gargoyles and Oberon's children). Its not always cohesive and the damned "around the world in a rowboat" part of the show went on for WAY too long.

Also, the "sequel" show (Goliath Chronicles) was largely awful through out.

(And yes, Tom Wilson was Matt Bluestone - but John Rhys-Davies was also MacBeth. And the majority of the Star Trek TNG cast was in the show - usually Jon Frakes or Mariana Sirtis)

...that isn't Duck Tales, Tale Spin or Gummi Bears.

Eh, it's certainly a valid topic for discussion -- but I think I need something more authoritative than someone posting to a message board telling me I need to buy Gargoyles. Studios generally don't release such numbers, so I'm curious as to the source -- has Disney said they won't release another volume? Some executive producer involved with the DVD release? We don't have much background here.

The announcement struck me as a scare tactic. Given that the numbers of the second set were smaller than the first, theres obviously people who were interested in the first but not gotten the second.

Firstly, this is off-topic so I thought it should be ok to post non-WC stuff here.

I didn't want to "plug a site" but if you want the source of the info here it is:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5139

That site is a great place to find out about all kinds of shows from the US, it's like the CIC of TV shows.

Alot of shows could have been better but that's beside the point, I liked gargoyles and just wanted to pass on the info.

[EDIT] I was going to say how useful that site is but that WOULD be promoting so I cut that part out. [/EDIT]

That's now how the rule works. We're talking about spammers selling their viagra, random dorks posting about their ebay lineups and people going overboard in trying to get visitors to their own personal websites. In fact, talking about how useful that site is falls under the second half of the rule: "References to web sites and resources directly related to the current discussion are encouraged."

Sorry just a little gun shy I guess, well it IS a VERY useful site for anyone hoping for their show to come to DVD, has show voting and alot of other things. For example a list of changes from what was aired on TV and whether those add or take away from the show.

You can even leave messages for the copyright holder but I don't know if they ever read them.
