Remember Garfield and Friends on Saturday mornings in the late 80s to mid 90s? It was based on the comic stripn created by Jim Davis. There were Garfield specials beforehand. I thought it was really funny. I did not like the US Acres part. It was a waste and had too many sappy songs. Garfield did many bad things to Odie, Jon, and Nermal, which is funny. Now, they have it out on DVD, which I have and enjoy watching whenever I want to watch. They changed the theme song three times. First one was Friends are there, second one is the Latin/Caribbean theme song, and last one, which was in the middle of the last season, some hip-hop rap song, in which CBS later canned that season.

loved that show. My question about US Acres, was that a lesser knowen Jim Davis strip
or did he creat it fo the show?
 
More of a lesser known strip by Davis.

A few of the garfield books in my collection have US Acres strips.

US Acres was a comic strip that ran from 1986 to 1989. It was created by Jim Davis and ran on 500 newspapers. There are US Acres book, but they are rare and hard to find. You could find them at Half Priced Books.
