Gamestop buys and merges with EB

This might actually be a plus for me. There are 3 EB games in my immediate area, but I have to drive nearly 45 minutes to get to a GameStop, which is where I get all my NES, SNES, Genesis, etc merchandise. So now if the EB stores near me will carry the stuff GameStop normally does, I'll be all set.

GameStop stopped carrying NES, SNES, Genesis, etc, a couple years ago. There are just a few stores around where the consolidated inventory is merged. Your local EBs might carry a better balance of regular new stuff, but that's about it.

I knew some guys who left Gamestop specifically to work/manage for EB cause they had better benefits and not as anal; guess they are fucked now.

(break time over, time to muster up for the obstacle course)

I like the weird giant Gamestop that you used to work at -- everything is organized well and it's the biggest one I've ever seen.

Yeah, the old Super Software stores are always pretty big and neat. Relatively tiny number of them now in relation to regular GameStops. They always have the tournaments and stuff at those.

I work on the CIC and watch Deep Space Nine. Now that the map pack is out, we're going to do a bunch more Halo.

Ah...Halo, I haven't played it in 3 months...a shame really. I need to get back in the game. You going to be playing late this evening?
