Fast movie speed in Prophecy

I've just re-discovered WC. Unfortunately I have had to ditch my copies of WC2 (I don't have a 5.25" drive anymore) and WC3 (problem with the sound). I am left with Prophecy - the game works but the movie sequences are just too fast. I have a Pentium 4/2gigahertz, Montego 2 sound card, and a Geoforce2MX video card - all running under Windows XP.

Does anyone know how to slow things down for WC without wrecking the rest of my PC which I use mainly for video editing.

Oh dear...

Reduce sound acceleration in DirectX to "None". Use dxdiag.exe, usually inside WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
