Better Health Through Less Flavor
I wasn't really sure whether to put this in Fan Projects or Off-Topic ... in the end I settled for OT since this has less to do with WC than what it does have to do with modeling, aside from the fact that I made it to bone up on my modeling skills in preperation for skinning the Concordia supercruiser model I made.

This is the EFS Birmingham, flagship of the Federation fleet, from Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. Since I've never seen Stardust Memory, and also was working from a tiny line-art image of the ship, I took the opportunity to create my own skins (which basically amounts to making a white box with a black line outline and doing a "fit to faces texture). I think it gives it a fair amount of detail, and makes things interesting looking at the same time.
The paint scheme is based heavily on the White Base from the original Mobile Suit Gundam ... lots of primary colors, although I muted the shocking white from the original ship to a more muted grayish-tan. I also have an Epee-style Rising Sun on the front. Don't ask why.
This is one of my favorite works so far, because despite how many times I've screwed it up, it's still one of the cleanest and simplest meshes I've ever made.
Comments, constructive crits?
