ok i tried the campaign like suggested by hellcat, i gotta say im quite confused heh for instance, i transported the iron to the planet like the contact in new detroit asked but never got paid for it,neither received a message objective complete. then i went to oxford university but the guy in the library didnt let me in. so i took the job from a merchant in the bar on oxford, it was to escort a confed cruiser to rigel i think,launch, but the cruiser never followed me,so i kept going to where i was suppose to.when i got there my objective screen was telling me to dock on a refinery in that system (dont remember the name),i did but there was nobody in the bar. i launch again and the same objective was on, dock with the refinery, so i did again and there was still nothing. so im stuck with that objective and cant complete it.

Would there be a way to add a data pad (like privateer 2) or something like that who could tell you when you completed the mission once you land somewhere?
 
with the campaign missions you have to go back to New Detroit to get paid.

You also had to take the materials to the Refinery, not the planet...
did you still have the cargo in your hold...or did that disappear... (taken by Sanfoval's men)

head back to New Detroit for payment...eventually you will be able to go to Oxford--but patience

Notice that all campaign fixers are animated

Trust no one, but keep gathering information--and for now New Detroit is your best lead
 
yea its cool cause i dont remember much of the story, played priv1 so long ago hehe cant wait what the alien ship looks like now!
 
oh quick question! are there max level for equipement on the ships? like why cant i equip a level 4 shield on one fighter and i can on another one? i have the money, im selecting the right type of shield,i have the cargo room but cant equip certain item on certain ships
 
yes the limits are ship-dependent
for the big four:

Tarsus max shield 2 engine 1
Centurion max shield 3 engine 3
Galaxy max shield 3 engine 3
Orion max shield 5 engine 5

These limits are the main motivational factors (along with cockpit visibility and maneuverability/speed ) for choosing a ship.

Cargo is another factor and how much cargo expansion you can get
