Double Trouble - WC Prophecy Video & Crash

Greetings!Initially thanks to Wedge009 for showing me the way to play Digger once again!Flyboy at your command Major General!
Now to my problems.
Number one is that when I play WC:Prophecy from the Gold Edition the videos are played too fast to watch in about a 66%.My computer is a Pentium IV 1,7 with 256 ram with a TNT2 Riva 64 on Windows 98.
My second problem is that when I start playing mission "Hrissith 639.6 Plasma Gun Defence" immediately appears a message that my carrier has been destroyed without even having time for my ship to launch,right after the message Downloading Mission Data.My overall performance is 82.12%, maybe they don't trust me?But I'm the master of the killboard after all.Thanks for the time any of you may take to read this.
 
Video speed issues: Start > Run > dxdiag.exe > Sound tab > disable hardware sound acceleration. No need to reboot, but do remember to put it back when you're done playing.

Carrier lost: playing simulator mission 7 for a while should fix this. You don't have to finish the mission.
