DosBox

For those of you that have not found this great program, there may be some, I am not sure. But it works well with Wing Commander 1-3, full music and speech, Privateer works well. Armada works well. Sadly Strike Commander doesn't work.

And if anyone still remembers me, I used to visit this place a lot and I was on that ICQ list they had going around even though nobody added me

I have DOSBox, but I still can't configure my sound correctly for WC3. My sound card is on something like IRQ14 and the sound config option doesn't go that high. Do you know of a fix?

I had no success with Wing Commander Armada and although I did get Strike Commander running, it stuttered a heck of a lot which was a shame. I noticed a few other games stuttered like this as well.

dragon, dosbox emulates a soundcard and then maps that to windows, so set wc3's audio to irq 5 and it should work fine (not 14 )

dynamix, dosbox has had some problems with the sound code, the 0.61 release has most of them sorted, but is still a bit dodgy, still, its a case of keep trying
