Better Health Through Less Flavor
Although I'm not a BG fan, this has me more excited than virtually any other game except perhaps Crimson Skies, and even that has sort of worn off.

It looks like Warthog has brought back the style that's been missing since its space shooters since Starlancer - and because of XBox Live and the singleplayer campaign, it looks to live up to its predeccesor's potential. Not to mention Warthog has had four years and three games to fine-tune its work (Invasion, Shattered Universe, Mace Griffen). I keep saying I'm buying an XBox, but this might finally tilt the balance. Unless I get PaintShopPro or something.
 
Is it true that Dirk Benedict (Face from the A-Team) will be reprising his role as Starbuck? I heard that rumor somewhere and want to confirm it.
 
I don't think so - the game is set twenty years before the original. It follows Adama and the rest of the crew of the early Battlestars as they battle their way through the initial second Cylon invasion. Although, I think Benedict's credited on IMDB, so he may have some sort of small role - initiating a flashback.
 
I just confirmed both Dirk Benedict and Richard Hatch (Starbuck and Apollo in the original series) both have voice roles in the game, playing different characters. It's in the new SCIFI magazine write-up on the miniseries and game. Also appearing are Robert Atkin Downes (Byron on Babylon 5) and Kristanna Lokan (from Terminator 3). Interestingly enough, Dwight Schultz is also appearing in the game, so it'll be interesting to see how the two A-team partners are casted.
 
That's interesting. I just found out Dwight Schultz did a voice role in Final Fantasy X (as the role of the Spira scholar).
