Thank you kindly Loaf. That thread only seems to have slowed down when you stopped responding to it for a week... a couple of hours on average between posts is still a lot though.
I feel for you.
Anyway, I have several questions that got lost in the large number of fairly repetitive questions and almost as repetitive answers by others:
Q1: I know it is rather early for detail questions about the alpha, but is there a plan to include some rudimentary friends list system for the alpha testing so that pre-developed squads can meet up and start practicing teamwork in the game?
Q2: Will corvettes and destroyers have the option to add docking clamps that fighters and maybe bombers can attach to, probably an upgrade that takes away a module slot and/or turret?
Q3: I realize that this being a space sim that character development will be fairly freeform in the persistent universe. Does CR plan to add in any character creation features related to character backgrounds or will this be something left up to the players.
Q4: Would you guys consider creating small physical models for the hornet and perhaps even a package that is like “Come Fly with Me” only it has a Hornet instead of the Constellation?
Q5: I was just reading the Odin System dossier and it got me thinking. Will there be missions made available (ie given by the local or faction government or by large NPC corporations) where a pilot (perhaps only citizens in good standing especially including former military pilots) can patrol an area around a jump point and scan the cargo holds of passing ships for contraband? Effectively acting as cheap police for the poorer systems. Perhaps a pilot would get paid for successful patrol of a series of nav points during a time period and would be paid bonus funds for things like contraband retrieval, destruction and/or capture of the smuggler with or without the ship, or even destruction of the contraband itself. I am assuming from within the game universe, the government or corporation would access the PC ship’s blackbox to confirm actual completion of the set out goals. There might even be ways for players to alter their blackboxes for nefarious purposes.
