Armada in winXP with dosbox

hey all, I got armada to work on my winxp machine using dosbox but when I fly the ship keeps turning even though I stopped pressing the key. I dont have a joystick thatll work so Im stuck using the keyboard but I'll hopefully be getting a USB one soon. Can anyone help with the turning problem? thanks

It kind of sounds like you have a USB device or something the game thinks might be a joystick interfering with the controls. There's not really any bug in Armada itself that should cause something like this, so the issue has something to do with your newer hardware and how it's being recognized here.
 
hmm ok, I do have a USB mouse plugged in, I'll try disconnecting that and see if that helps any, thanks!
