Arena/Xbox 360 Purchasing Experience Captured on Video (July 28, 2024)

It's the final day to buy Wing Commander Arena for the Xbox 360. We're not sure exactly what the interface will look like tomorrow, but it'll be different and some of the functions that are there right now will never be available again. Whether Arena was a game you ever played or not, it's important to capture these kinds of things for history, so we've done so below! The first clip shows the actual process to click through to make a purchase transaction for the game (specifically an Arena Theme). Then there's a longer clip of us navigating through the dashboard, browsing over the the Arcade marketplace, calling up Wing Commander Arena and scrolling through its various information pages. We flipped through the screenshots and achievements too for completeness. It's a disappointing business, but the game had a tremendous 17 year run in the Xbox digital store - and it's still playable for the foreseeable future for those who own a copy! I would really really like to purchase Arena, but there is no Xbox Live support in Indonesia, and my Xbox account was tied to Singapore's region, which I don't have any credit card that can be used to purchase this.

At least I can still read Star*Soldier for free.
