A bizzare Wc3 problem

Don't know what exactly to call this problem... maybe a glitch?

Anyway, decided to go through the game being as much of a bastard as possible to the other characters and failing certain missions to go on the lossing path.

So I'm on the third blackmane mission (lossing branch) and have to escort three transports to the jumpoint... only thing is they never jump. They keep moving past the jumpoint, forever!

This can't be right, can it? This is not an impossible mission. Any ideas as to what can cause a simple glitch like this?

Well, I found this old post after seaching here for help with a glitch!
This is the exact same problem I have. If you lose loconda 2 (bioweapon hits planet) then you are taken to the blackmane losing streak.
The thing is, whenever you have to escort the transports to evacuate blackmane they never jump! they just keep going past the jump buoy!

Anyone know how to fix this???
 
your right, that is an old post!

have you tried ejecting when the transports keep goin? or maybe not goin on the losing track until after blackmane?
 
Ejecting would just lose the mission for you. Did you autopilot link with the transports and autopilot appropriately? Does it let you autopilot away from there?
 
Yep! Tried ejecting which just causes you to lose the mission and therefore go to the next blackmane losing streak mission (The Pulsar/Qusar Planet shadow evac mision).

Autopilot links up properly when you first meet up with the 3 transports at the begining of the mission. And no you cant autopilot away.

Stupid damn transports just continue going past the buoy after you have taken out all of the attacking kilrathi fighters no matter what I do.

I've even tried destroying the damn transports with Friendly Fire. Still cant autopilot back to the Victory.

It seems though that I am not the only one who experiences this. I am just curious if anyone has ever been able to win this mission! And what lies beyond it in terms of this mission streak.

Also this blackmane mission streak has never been mentioned before (in the mission guide here at WC CIC).
 
Someone else should try it.

Lose loconda 2 by letting the biowarhead hit the planet and see if you get this mission path and see if the transports will jump.
 
Well after doing a bit of searching, it seems that this is a bug that commonly occurs with VDMS and sometimes with other emulators when using them for WC3.

The other commonly occuring bug is that even if you go after flint and bring her back yourself, the clip of cobra and flint on the flight deck is played.

Basically in short, triggers are being missed, eg a trigger for the ships to jump, a trigger for the game to play the correct clip etc.

Yeah, that is interesting. Sounds like switching to DOSBox for that particular mission might do the trick, or alternately, go back and don't play the losing track of Blackmane.
