    Rebel Galaxy Outlaw!

I didn't even consider the jump drive until I upgraded ships. To many nightmares of running away with a splinters worth of hull left on my tarsus. Then I thought 'okay time to merc it up.' A few distress calls and a lot of loot (ignored the contraband since I didn't want to take the risk) later...

    Rebel Galaxy Outlaw!

I have my old Logitech Force 3D Pro sitting on the corner of my desk taunting me but I've not tried it yet as the sucker is very twitchy in it's old age. I am getting much better in dealing with the controls (as default) on my gamepad, now it's mastering the radial menu and accessing the menu...

    Rebel Galaxy Outlaw!

I've been lurking and watching this games development for a while (and was the sole reason I got an Epic Games account). It runs wonderfully on my 5 year old gaming rig, in windowed or full screen mode. But I don't recommend windowed unless you have a giant monitor, or are running it windowed...

WC4 Mod For Homeworld 2 In The Works (June 5, 2006)

I had a similar issue when I first dled the mod not at my home pc, but I didn't do the resub method. I deleted the mods's big file inside the HW dir (not to be confused with the other workshop dl directory) and when I restarted the system rebuilt the mod and it worked fine.

    WCRPG: Vespus

While i've not paid very much attention to your entire conversion process *curse you life* in TEOC we treated CSMs like any other targetable object just with it's own 'missile' class. I don't have access to my newest database at the office, or the hard modifiers for the size type that the old...

Wing Commander: Eagle Rising - A Game Idea

For me it's variable that a transport pilot could handle the transition to figher pilot some what easily. It would depend on the definition of transport. For a large cargo hauler I'd expect them to be scooped up as a helmsman somewhere, but if it was a cargo pod, shuttle or a something like a...

BREAKING NEWS: Wing Commander IV on GOG (April 3, 2012)

Workday needs to hurry up and end. Been eons since I could do anything but stare at the damaged cds and play the *gags* playstation version. Still happy to have it and all it cost me getting a sandwich for lunch instead of ordering in!!!

    Wing Commander RPG

Wanted to compose this, or try to, before bed so here goes nothing. The hcp (host combat program) in conjunction with an access database handles the 'addons' you'd have with a traditional pnp game, making it so the player only has to determine their action.. and in the case of attacks, their...

    Wing Commander RPG

Please be mindful of the rambling and bouncing about... writing this from memory between phone calls at the office. Short answer the 'engine' does not handle the positioning. Long answer, the HCP holds vessel data and processes the various actions and attacks. Many many moons ago a grid map...

    Wing Commander RPG

What questions do you have about TEOC regs? As the poor schmuck who runs the software that governs combat for the last several years I'm more than happy to answer what I can as I am able to. As for veering way off into AU land this is absolutely correct. That was done many years ago with plot...

Wing Commander IV - Online! (August 11, 2010)

Stuff like this really makes me wish my wc4 cds weren't damaged beyond repair years ago. But if you can't play it again rifling through the clips is the next best thing.

    What's this?

Making me feel blind, and the alien drop ships aside I'd swear that one of the capships looks like a half finished Daedalus class ship from Sg1/Atlantis. Course with the lighting levels it could be a space tuna and I'd not beable to tell ;)

    Can this little thing jump?

I recall the device, and I want to say it was some kind of dish/array mounted on a transport. But I don't have my novel remotely onhand to check into it for sure.

Resurrected Fan Fiction Back in Action (May 20, 2010)

So I got home earlier than I originally thought what I have is a forum db (readable by Access) regarding the Aces ranging from 1/29/2001 to 12/26/2003. As for what's in the actual posts, I don't feel like going through almost 4300 posts to find out. Once I stripe the db of all IP related...

Resurrected Fan Fiction Back in Action (May 20, 2010)

For us is was an issue of the RPG moving servers, I think and several of us decided to do backups incase something went wrong (talk about foreshadowing). I remember seeing the tables in the access db for the aces so it's just a matter of if that backup survived the computer meltdown five or so...

Resurrected Fan Fiction Back in Action (May 20, 2010)

I'm not entirely certain since all the data is at home, but I'm sure lying about in my archives are some form of the raw forum database data from when TEOC hosted the Aces' forums. If I can find them and someone wants it, I'm more than happy to turn over the forum data for someone to pick through.

Stan_comp.exe came back as a virus

I've gotten this false positive during a scan with clamwin a few weeks ago and ignored it since it was the only item that came up. The virus definitions were updated the following day and the next scan didn't show it. I chalked it up to A/V software being annoying and went about my day...

    Wing Commander MUSH

It's been a long time since I've played a something like this and I am happy to see that other RP projects of varying sorts are still plugging along. Definately will have to check it out. Thanks for the walkthrough as well.

    What moments stand out most?

My moment has to be the first time I played WC after the family computer was upgraded and I heard the game through an actual sound card instead of pc speaker bleeps. Computer's do music? Who'd have thought hehe.

    Concordia and Yorktown

Granted I don't have my copy of FA onhand to reference and it's been a bit since I've reread it but I don't recall them specifiying the class. I do remember from the descriptions I assumed that they were related to the Concordia (beyond the obvious remarks of them being fleet carriers and...
