Stop that. Source code and a decompiled executable aren't the same thing; they never have been, and never will be. Yes, you can get assembly language in there, and there some decompilers can give you a rough working version of C; however, to equate this with source code that's actually organized...

Eh... I don't know about that. I certainly have far fewer issues getting DOS games to run in DOSBox than I have getting a Win95 game to run half the time.

Most of mine came from the same bookstore; last week I picked up Action Stations, incidentally, leaving me with only the movie novelization to find, I think. Pretty sure I saw a second copy of Heart of the Tiger when I went to pick up Action Stations... maybe Freedom Flight, as well.

I too, would fly the Scim over the Rapier. Not the Raptor though. That's the best ship in the game.

Same here. I'm on another hiatus as I get other things done (finals are coming up, distracted by other things, etc), but it's good to know that when I do come back there's already another, better build!

Used to crash every once in awhile for me on Win98, but that might have been the machine. One of these days I'm going to find an old Win98 box and buy it off someone...

Have you tried running them in DOSBox? I never run 3 without DOSBox, and after installing 4, I used the Win95 patch.

Wasn't sure how compatible saves were, but it'll make it a lot less painful if I they're all backwards-compatible.

I do, but I don't want to get that far in the game and then discover MORE awesome features that aren't supported in my current build.... so instead I'll just get ahead on my schoolwork so I actually have time to play a later version. :)

Loaded up ASCII Sector and played for a few minutes before class today... and as I exited, noticed that I'm still on 0.5.1. I think I'm going to wait awhile before upgrading and starting over... all the new features that keep coming out are just too awesome.

Can you show them at a higher resolution for us, then? My first experience with the WC3 Kilrathi was just a few years ago, and they looked pretty nice to me.
