BREAKING NEWS: George Oldziey Launches Wing Commander Music Kickstarter! (February 20, 2014)

Absolutely; it's the 'manage your pledge'-button that replaces the 'back this project'-button in the top right. In this case, if all the $60 backers would move down to $50 it wouldn't hit the total too hard, but always consider that if the goal isn't reached at the end no-one gets a reward or...

BREAKING NEWS: George Oldziey Launches Wing Commander Music Kickstarter! (February 20, 2014)

Yep; $100 and up gets you the CD. I would be happy to share a picture of your name when mine arrives ;) (but of course you would want one of your own)

BREAKING NEWS: George Oldziey Launches Wing Commander Music Kickstarter! (February 20, 2014)

True; it's not the most generous campaign in the rewards section I've seen. Still happy to pledge for a CD, but hopefully this will improve a bit as the campaign progresses. By the way, did you notice WC2's George 'The Fat Man' Sanger is also a backer?

Thanks for the heads-up; would have missed this otherwise!

    3D Printed Starfighters

Good to hear you're sticking with Shapeways. Their ever-changing tolerances suck, but at least their customer support is great. And even I was somewhat hesitant to try Sculpteo. Some of your models are 'not available' but some, like the Salthi, are no longer listed at all... what's going on...

    3D Printed Starfighters

Ah man, that's unfortunate. I still had at least a Salthi on my wish list. Apparently Shapeways keep sharpening their tolerances. Will you maybe look into other materials (like metals) for the smaller scale models, or does that make them too expensive or in need of serious remodeling?

    3D Printed Starfighters

Hey guys! First of all, Shapeways decided to print Klavs' models after all, and fortunately they turned out fine- which means they'll remain available for everyone to order! Also, I gave Shapeways' new material, gold plated brass, a go with one of Dream Foundry's Dralthi's. Do check out the...

    3D Printed Starfighters

I'll send Shapeways an e-mail politely asking them to reconsider. I have become quite a frequent customer there, almost exclusively via your models and all (except one) have printed perfectly and shipped ahead of time. If everyone else affected would also send them a similar request it might...

    3D Printed Starfighters

Understandable from Shapeways' standpoint, but it still sucks... Well, I'm thankful for what 'slipped through' and hope they'll loosen their policy in the future. Is this only for the sandstone material or also WSF, D and (F)UD? And just curious, do you get more details on where a model fails...

    3D Printed Starfighters

Aargh; just received the dreaded Shapeways e-mail! :( Having these wildly out-of-scale wouldn't be something I'd be too happy about ... have you already contacted Shapeways about this?

    3D Printed Starfighters

That line-up is awesome! So ... what's next? Any usual suspects still missing? Or will the Kitty fleet get some love? For your entertainment, a pic of Dream Foundry's 'Spork', a nice rendition of a Durango-class carrier that just arrived, done up in 'regular' stainless steel. Quite nice, if I...

    3D Printed Starfighters

Good question, you should ask Shapeways support! Judging by their material guide it are basically ink jet printed colors, so they are probably susceptible to sun fading. They appear to use pigment based inks and a sealant however, so who knows.

    3D Printed Starfighters

Looks great, depending on another 'experiment' that's on the way I'll order the in-scale one shortly! In other news: attached are pics of three of Atropos907' s carriers in gloss gold and bronze plated stainless steel. Wouldn't recommend the gold color (matter of taste), but overal detail is...

    3D Printed Starfighters

Here's is one of Dream Foundry's Excaliburs printed in glossy sterling silver. The price and material constraints limit your options to smaller, lower-detailed ships, but I think it looks absolutely amazing. I have a couple of other 'experiments' on the way in plated stainless steel, which is...

Here are the pics. Sorry for the bad lighting; not doing the mdels justice, but it's the best I can do at the moment!
