So, I played about an hour or so of this last night, and its kinda interesting concept. Really took some getting used to navigating on the 2D plane as opposed to 3D space but it works in this context. It sort of reminds me of Descent:Freespace if you were captain of one of the huge cap ships...

Everything I've read about it sounds good, and its got good ratings on Steam etc. I loved Privateer and Freelancer so sounds like it'd appeal to me, still need to get me a proper stick that works before I get back into space sims properly again, well xmas is coming up soon, might buy myself one...

I personally love all three games, even Prophecy (although in a campy cheesy sort of way). Did they ever explain how Casey survived the attack on Iceman's homeworld? Was he taken as a slave as well as his sister was? If they did I've forgotten. I really couldnt choose between III & IV though...

The original is prob my fav WC game, or at least the one I played most back in the day, GOG version is great, you won't regret it!
