Use Wing Commander Ships In Tabletop Starmada (February 13, 2006)

Thanks! I promise you though, it's not as hard as it sounds. Print out the ship silhouettes from the WC manuals at a scale of 1cm=100m. Then cut basswood in thin layers to match the shape of the ship. It's a good thing they're fairly boxy, that makes the work easier. I recommend starting...

Use Wing Commander Ships In Tabletop Starmada (February 13, 2006)

I've made eight durangos, five concordias, two rangers, one confederation, one bengal, two exeters, and one waterloo. Unfortunately I can't mass produce any of them - I make them out of balsa and bass wood. The confederation class alone took a week to build. I just started with top and side...

Use Wing Commander Ships In Tabletop Starmada (February 13, 2006)

Looks good to me. VBAM is more of a campaign system, but in a way that is roleplaying as well. I didn't mean to criticize your article, I was just writing to say "oh cool, somebody else is interested!" I'll work on re-acquiring my ships from my friend's house and finding a camera.

Use Wing Commander Ships In Tabletop Starmada (February 13, 2006)

more ships Those packs will allow you to play VBAM, but not the Starmada tactical system. I have sheets that can work for that, if I can just dig them up. Also, I built a Confederation class dreadnaught, five Concordia class carriers, two rangers, and a ton of Durangos for use in a campaign...

    WC RPG Ship Design

For my Starmada conversion, I worked out appropriate statistics for each of the major weapon types - torpedo tubes, laser turrets, anti-matter cannons, neutron turrets (see Tarawa, in End Run), etc. Then I gave each ship the weapons it's supposed to have and set the hull points to whatever...

I'm using a rules set called Starmada X. It's available at www.mj12games.com. The demo version is free and I believe the full version is about $15. I'd be happy to send you my Wing Commander datasheets in excel format if you'd like. I've got most of the Confederation ships done.

    picture request

Hello WC Saga mod team, I'm building wooden models of various WC capital ships in 1:10000 scale, and I was wondering if I could get top views of certain ships so that I can make templates. The ships will be used in a miniature wargame called Starmada. I need top views of the following...

    Wing Commander Starmada

I haven't gotten around to that yet. However I do have a Bengal, two Exeters, and a Waterloo waiting to be painted. All are in 1:10000 scale. I'll post a link to pictures when I'm done.

    Wing Commander Starmada

Thanks a lot! Also, is there any place I can get top views of the WC1 and WC2 fighters? I'd like to make fighter counters as well.

    Wing Commander Starmada

Hey all, I'm working on a conversion of the Wing Commander universe to a tabletop wargame called Starmada. The free demo rules are available at www.mj12games.com/starmada. I'd be happy to send the data sheets I've put together so far to anyone who is interested. Anyway, I'm in the process...
