The Wing Commander: Prophecy Demo is designed with easy installation in mind.
Follow the steps below.
- Ensure you have DirectX version 5.0 and the latest version of your video
card drivers successfully installed.
- Copy DEMOWC.EXE into a directory of your choice.
- Double click the DEMOWC.EXE program via Windows Explorer, to extract the
files.
- Double-click the SETUP.EXE to select your video card. If you are unsure, select
"Software"
- Double click the WCPDEMO.EXE program, and the demo will begin.
If you downloaded MOVIES.EXE, follow the instructions below.
- Copy MOVIES.EXE into a directory of your choice.
- Double click the MOVIES.EXE program via Windows Explorer, to extract the
files.
You are done! You will see movies the next time you play!
Ancient Kilrathi prophets foretold the utter destruction of all life in the universe.
That time is at hand.
A new alien menace has entered Confed space, and the only line of defense between
it and the end of all things is the crew of the TCS Midway. Continually on the
run from the alien forces and cut off from any contact with Confed HQ, the Midway
has fought a delaying action across several systems.
Now, having sent a desperate call for help across the stars via a recaptured relay
station in the H'hrass System, the Midway awaits much needed supplies before pushing
onward into T'lan Meth on its first offensive.
You are Lieutenant Lance Casey, recent Academy graduate and member of the fighting
force that will be the galaxy's last hope.
Your job: secure the system before the Midway moves on, protect the transports
and their vital cargo, and stop an enemy carrier that is even now in aggressive
pursuit…
