Midgard (planet)

Midgard is a planet in the Midgard System. It is a major colony of the former Kilrathi Empire.

One of thirty known planets in the Midgard System, Midgard is a large desert world defined by its sand flats; lacking the dust storms and sandworms characteristic of other known deserts, it is a peaceful world host to numerous hovering cities inhabited by the Kilrathi. One of its most famous landmarks is the Ghorx Chasm, the deepest known chasm of its kind in the galaxy.

Following their defeat in the Terran-Kilrathi War, many Kilrathi settlers made their home on Midgard, owing to its resemblance to the climate and geography found on their destroyed homeworld of Kilrah.
