The Sorthak was a heavy fighter produced by the Kilrathi Empire during the last years of the Terran-Kilrathi War. The Sorthak generated numerous rumors after it was first encountered by Confederation forces.
On 2669.207, during a routine naval air transfer, eighteen Confederation fighters (5 Arrows, 9 Thunderbolts and 4 Longbows) were destroyed by a Sorthak. Black boxes recovered following the attack "indicated that an unusually large Kilrathi fighter attacked the group." The digital tape recovered from the boxes described the ship as "a cross between a Vaktoh and a destroyer, with massive guns protruding from both the front and rear."
Sorthaks were encountered by the flight wing of the TCS Victory several times during the last operations of the war.
