TCS Iason

The TCS Iason was a Terran Confederation exploration ship commanded by Jedora Andropolos during the 2629 Confederation push to colonize and explore the Vega Sector. On 2629.105, it became the first Confederation ship to encounter the Kilrathi. Captain Andropolos beamed the standard wideband non-verbal greeting to the then-unidentified ship and then waited motionlessly for twenty-two minutes. The Kilrathi then opened fire and destroyed the Iason with all hands.
