Axius is a star system in the Epsilon Sector. It is listed as a territory of the Terran Confederation.

Axius is home to a series of barren desert planets. Conditions here are not ideal for supporting human life comfortably, so it is totally unpopulated. It is a nonessential territory and was likely ignored for much of the Terran-Kilrathi War.

Axius was used as the headquarters for the Black Lance, an elite special forces faction operating without Confed's authorization or knowledge. This is where they established their base of operations on the Axius Star Base, since the system is largely ignored by the government.

The existence of the star base was discovered by the BWS Intrepid during the Border Worlds Conflict. Colonel Chirstopher Blair infiltrated the base using a captured starfighter, during which he uncovered the Black Lance's role in provoking the Terran Confederation into war with the Union of Border Worlds. Colonel Blair fled the star base with this information and soon after revealed its existence and the full extent of the Black Lance's actions to the Confederation Assembly.
