Loki (sometimes marked on star charts as its most notable former planet, Loki VI) is a star system in the Vega Sector. As of 2669, it was controlled by the Kilrathi Empire.

Loki is a firmly-established Kilrathi territory that hosts at least six planets. The Kilrathi are known to have maintained a small security facility on the surface of Loki VI. A curious feature of this planet was the fact that it orbited a quasar. Periodically, it would enter the quasar and communications on the planet would be disabled until it exited. This phenomenon was experienced on any ship that passed through this region.

In 2669, the Terran Confederation came to Loki so that it could test the massive TCS Behemoth on Loki VI. The test was to see whether the Behemoth could destroy entire planets as designed to. Loki VI was targeted while it was in the quasar to ensure that no distress call could be sent while the test was conducted. After a brief skirmish with Kilrathi patrols, the Behemoth fired on Loki VI, destroying the planet and killing all Kilrathi on the surface. With this success, the Behemoth proceeded to attack Kilrah.

Before the Terran fleet was able to jump to Kilrah, Colonel Ralgha nar Hhallas, a Kilrathi sleeper agent who had previously served the Terrans, leaked the Behemoth's weak points to the Kilrathi fleet, and the vessel was destroyed as a result. Crown Prince Thrakhath nar Kiranka then attempted to duel Colonel Christopher Blair in an effort to stop him from reaching the TCS Victory. The Colonel escaped and the Terrans were forced to abandon the Loki System.
