The Razor is a light fighter designed by the Terran Confederation.
Overview
The Razor is a cheap, light starfighter of an unimpressive design. It is not known to have served with the Confederation Navy, thus it was instead prominently seen amongst the various pirate factions operating across Terran airspace. Having only a modest armament and light shielding, it was considerably weak compared to the light fighters actively serving in the war against the Kilrathi. However, its small size and relatively high speed made it popular among pirates, as they proved harder for the authorities or rival gangs to intercept.
History
Little is known of the Razor's history, and it rarely appeared on the frontlines in the Terran-Kilrathi War. It became a popular vehicle among pirates by the 2670s, and even saw limited usage by the Black Lance in 2673. Colonel Christopher Blair and Major Todd Marshall encountered Razors in the Nephele System during Blair's recall to active-duty service.
It is unknown if Razors still served among its various factions by 2681.
